@ Rol I have looked at what you have typed up and upon careful reflection have agree with what you have said about Mr. Spielberg for the most part. Still I think that his presence breaks the tie because he released an Indiana Jones movie. It wasn't a good one, but it was worth at least a half a point.

Okay, maybe you are right. But then again even I forgot to factor in the sequel of Boom Blox. A bad game is one thing, but two bad games are unacceptable. That's another minus point. So Steven Spielberg is worth one and a half minus points by my calculations. I think that sounds about right.

Okay.  Perhaps this is true.  According to my calculation Microsoft would still have a slight lead if another point was subtracted because of the Boom Blox sequel.

There's a Boom Blox sequel?  This is the first that I've heard of it

Now I know why you never made the Boom Blox Bash Party thread that we had planned. You forgot that the game exists. Oh well, it would have been a waste of time anyway.

There would have been no responses in that thread since no one new that the game even existed.  If anything it would have started some buzz for the game on this site.  I figured that there was no momentum to kill and I didn't want to start any.

Brilliant move on EA's part releasing that game the same day as PunchOut!!

For some reason I always thought that the winner of E3 either had to present a huge load of games back to back as the conference was going on or news in general to keep the show from being boring.

I for one saw Microsoft show entertaining not one time did I yawn or took a break & came back to finish watching. However I did do that with Sony and Nintendo shows. Sony just kept proving and demostrating sales figures while Microsoft ignore sales figures and focused on content and so did Nintendo by the way.

All in all, I do see your point it seems that celebrities did play a huge part this E3. I mean the Beatles were what set Microsoft introduction to E3, sparkling and successful.

All of that money that was spent on Paul and Ringo you would have thought that they would have played.  I mean they had a house band playing Beatles songs and then the actual Beatles come out and then...  nothing.

@amp316

I liked how they absolutely acted like they had nothing to say at all. I mean they were talking over themselves. I'm like please get off the stage and I think Ringo was the one that said he does or doesn't like how his character looks in the game.

hahah...I expected more hype behind that game announcement. I mean at least let Paul and Ringo play the game!

I think that there was a reason that Ringo was wearing shades indoors, if you catch my drift.

Ph I catch your drift prefectly! Then that explains it bro!!!! hahahah got to love them though. I will be buying that Beatles Rock Band though! I never was a huge fan of them but just knowing that they made rock/alternative to what it is today is a awesome feeling. I had the chills seeing this game come alive and seeing Ringo & Paul hit the stage!

The Beatles definitely have some good songs but this would have been a much bigger announcement in 1964.

Kratos should count as a celebrity.

If this is the case then Kratos would get once point and Mario would get five.

This would put Sony in last place.

Honestly Amp, the first way rule being the winner of E3 is not to be Nintendo. No matter what Nintendo does the gaming media bitches about what they haven't done. Ever year Sony announces games that won't release for another 2 years and get rave reviews. If game is announced at E3 it should be something that will, at worst, release in the next 12 months.

This might be true but it doesn't make for an interesting thread.

I do remember the media having possitive reactions to the Wii Remote when it was first revealed though.  Oh wait...  No.  They called it a desperate gimmick.  I'm sorry.  Maybe you are right.
