How has Gran Turismo dropped the ball exactly?
GT4 was amazing, and even GT5:P was reviewed very nicely for an extended demo.
They must really believe Forza 3 is something.

Im starting to think microsoft is using the same strategy they used on sony with the ps3, kept destroying it by using the media, and managed to outsell it.

they always do that with everything actually. but since Sony can't do anything but watch they're easy target

unlike apple who can easily moneyhat everything and turn it to gold against microsoft.

1 simple thing could help sony a lot...ADVERTISEMENT, and building the hype.

anyway, this game will get very nice sales and if it's bundled and heavily advertised, it would be even greater.

and I agree with PullusPardus...

By not releasing before Forza 2 or 3.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Turn 10, STFU. Seriously, STFU. STOP comparing yourself to GT in EVERY SINGLE BLASTED PRESS RELEASE AND NEWS ITEM that comes out. Be good on your own, and forget about comparing to GT.

Burnout is better than both.

Gran Turismo & Forza "dropped the ball," Burnout there to "pick it up."

Burnout is the future people! Burnout is the Wii of the racing genre.

Don't even think about it.

...In a behind closed doors demonstration of Forza 3 at E3 last week, the game’s creative director, Dan Greenawalt, reiterated this fact to us as he touched upon the experience he hopes gamers have with the definitive racing game...

I don't think "fact" means "opinion" like he believes.

Sorry, but I think we all know the only true racing game this gen is Mario Kart Wii - no other racer will be able to match its realism or appeal at any level.

Except maybe a Luigi Kart DS.
