WTF man? Look if you like Godfather you have bad taste, thats it.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I played Godfather 1 on the PS2 and Xbox 1 and liked it a lot.

Too bad there was no Wii version for 2. Blackhand was praised for its great controls too. But alas, another IP falls in the glut of PS360 games.

Should've got a V8.........I mean Wii version.

Nah man...I'm cool. I don't like the Godfather video games. I just really don't like your avatar. It just clicked something in my brain...and I really want to punch it. Nothing against you.

I really want to punch you.

If you can give me a legitimate reason...I'll be cool with that.

Probably because the missed the boat.

Option 1:
Build a super HD game costing tens of millions to directly compete with the biggest sandbox IP on the PS360.

Option 2:
Build a much improved version compared to BlackHand on Wii that was a remarkable game. Here there is no competition and we could spend a fraction of Option 1's cost.

Yeah, should have picked #2. I would have bought it as blackhand was a very very good game on Wii. The controls made the game.

or if you wanted to play the game you could get the pc version.... but you wouldn't cause you love your wii...

the problem was that the franchise never caught on, not that it was on HD consoles. Also based on impressions, the game wasn't that good. In conclusion The godfather franchise appeals more to hardcore gamers, and it was a logical choice to make it for ps3/360, but it wasn't that good of a product, it wasn't a AAA game.

so... How does playing it on PC add motion controls? My love for Wii must blinding my ability to see the instruction manual that says to swing my keboard and mouse through the air to control the characters.

I would not buy Godfather II on Wii if it used classic controller only, and I'm sure superchunk is the same way. The motion controls were perfect in blackhand and really made it stand out. EA already knew how to use the motion controls they just failed to put the game on the system that supports it.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I loved the Wii version. Had they made Godfather II for Wii with the same controls as blackhand edition I would have bought it.

Me too.

maybe after all EA would make a bit profit if they released it on Wii....

the 1st one was mostly a port with better controls, and a completely new game on Wii could sell more probably...

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
