The thing I liked about XI though was that you actually needed some skill to play the game.

I used to play Runescape. That game required nothing to play at all. Doesn't make it a bad game, but skill makes things fun!

this will be the first MMO I am gonna buy, looks really great.

In my opinion Final Fantasy XI is the best MMO out there, but even the best could use improvements. I hope thats what they are aiming for with XIV.

LOL, there was a 13 year old kid on my LinkShell and server (Diabolos) named Inflames. He had 4 Lv75 jobs >_> He was an Elvaan and his first job to Lv75 was a Bard (BRD). He was a good player, though...then he left FFXI to play WoW >_<

This game will flop because of no leveling. No pre-paid cards is a turn-off.

Because with the new update to the official site... the part that said "Subscription: TBA" is now gone entirely, no mention of a Subscription whatsoever...
