Forums - Gaming - Which company has done most for it's Gamers? MS?.......Sony?......Nintendo?

Oooh, tough call.

I would put it like this:

1. Microsoft - They've really gone all-out this generation keeping the price competitive, wooing third parties, and constantly updating their console with amazing features that expand its use (Netflix and that sort of thing).

1a. Nintendo - Brilliant hardware, innovative controls, amazing first party stuff. Where they lose just a bit of my respect is their atrocious online system and their apparent inability to convince western third parties to really go all out on the system. Unfortunately, this is also mirrored by Nintendo itself with very few games announced that cater to my personal tastes (until this E3).

3. Sony - They keep getting better and the PS3 is really becoming a competent machine but they started off with such a handicap that it's proving hard for them to gain much ground on anybody. They'd be in a much stronger position if they didn't go such an excellent job of shooting themselves in the foot so many times over the first 12 months of the PS3's life.

@maynard

how typical of you to post something insulting SONY fans.

Not everyone is serious about all that it's going on here. Relax man, release a good laugh from time to time. Enjoy life.

Don't take anything personal... unless i tell you directly.

Eventhough I'm a Sony fan I point the finger at Nintendo mainly because they've been around longer and offered something for everyone.

My thoughts right there.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

Off-topic Megaman.2 ain't my leader.

On-topic if we are only talking about this Gen I'd say all sides have their pros and cons so in that sense it's kind of a tie.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

For me Nintendo. I have never had a technical problem with any of their hardware or software. Each game has done all I wanted it to do, make me happy, and having recently got SSBB I would have to say Nintendo has shown the most love for their fans. Nintendo are the only ones who get my money and long may it continue.

Simply because of the lower failure rate of the Wii, Nintendo wins.

hands down 360.
facts:
1. It's the most powerful, and cheapest system and came out a year before ps3. You can find one for $160ish on slickdeals.
2. Every game I checked the 360 version is better tha ps3
3. XBL has the most populated community.

Wii was very innovative with their controllers, but they lack precise control for competitive gaming. Also no chat and poor online gaming boring. Better controller than ps3s

wii is just a souped up gamecube (i believe they even have teh same chipset)

If your talking about all generations then I would have to go with Sony, and with Nintendo coming in close. Sony offered so much with PS1 and PS2. It's offering awesomeness now, but nothing compared to the older gens.

Sony or Nintendo.

@Zezlar: Nintendo offered so much more... Even the name playstation comes from Nintendo...

Sony pretty much copies everything, but they made some good choices to drop cartridges with the ps1 and use dvd in the ps2. It doesn't compare to the things Nintendo has done for the gamers.

If you're talking about all the gaming history then it's nintendo. As in a fact.
If it's this gen only then there's room for discussion.
