I went N64 -> GC -> Wii -> 360 which follows no common logic apparently.

He meant gamecube obviously. Though his original statement worked for me. I didn't buy gamecube till it was in the dustbin at gamestop. I almost did the same for wii but I couldn't wait that long to play the new Zelda.

I think it's because this is a new guy. They probably just finished his brainwashing program, now he'll take a while to come up with new thoughts of his own.
