What exactly would be deducted from control?

"Regardless, controlling the camera while moving or attacking is completely impossible and as a result the camera becomes focused on a wall or some object blocking the view at inopportune moments, leading to the return of the dreaded camera problems that plagued the first game of the series."

This has me worried...KH1 suffered from possibly one of the worst cameras in gaming history...who the hell thought the right analog wasn't needed for camera control for the game is beyond me. If 358/2 returns to that kind of camera, I may hate this game. I really hope it was only the reviewer

I don't understand people complaining about the camera in KH1. I didn't have a problem with it at all. So if that's the only "problem," it's nothing for me.

Hey, it's common to ignore faults in games we love.

To be fair, I didn't even realize anybody had problems with KH 1's camera, don't remember having problems with it ever, and I don't worship the ground it walks on.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

My super-nerdy Japan-obsessed friend also has this imported, and from the 20-or-so minutes that I played it, I didn't have a problem. Just pressing "R" recenters the camera, solved any problems I had (double-tapping it locks on).

I await Birth by Sleep for my PSP with much anticipation.

Something is so wrong about that statement.

What's the reveal in KH2 that invalidates the first game?

Probably that the guy you were chasing the entire game wasn't actually Ansem

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Please don't make it as if I said it (put "the review said")...though to be fair, I await BBS with much anticipation

Well, even when I started out with the game not knowing I'd love it so much I didn't have a problem =/

It's was a terrible burden, but it definitely was one of the issues I ran into.

I expected a higher rating on the story portion of the game :/

Well, if he thinks that KH2 has "a story with poor pacing, disjointed story arcs, pointless characters, and a reveal that basically invalidated the entirety of the first game" then 80% is pretty amazing

What's wrong with the controls? I mean the only thing I see is that there are less buttons but they optimized it for the DS regardless.

I think this reviewer confused KHII with SO4.  I played KHII and I can tell you that the pacing is far from bad and Roxas was far from pointless.

To RPGFan reviewer who reviewed this game: it's called a plot twist. Ever heard of it?
