I am looking into a PSP-3000, but I would want to use it for MAME too, and I'm not very knowledgeable about haxxoring. Can I play these new games along with MAME? Doesn't homebrew involve firmware trickery, and wouldn't that make it impossible to play new games? Hmmm, might have to buy TWO eventually. Hurry up, damn, money trees. |
dude just buy the games, why even waste your time trying to hack something if you can just get a game and play it , that way your doing everyone's a favor. also some hacked games get some features removed such as cutscenes or music.
Bottom line, hacking is bad!

I have no trouble buying games. Look at my collection, its only entered up to the letter P for the most part. MAME offers games that are not even available anywhere else. Where can I play an arcade perfect version of Sunset Riders? Empire Strikes Back (with glorious vector graphics? I don't pirate, but MAME is awesome.
MAME =/= hacking PSP games. I don't agree with that. What I was asking is if I would be able to play LEGALLY PURCHASED games on the same system I use for MAME.
EDIT: Also I just bought a Duke Nukem 3D Atomic on e-bay so I can use the High Resolution Pack, even though I already have the regular game, and could have just "found" the rest if I wanted to. Ninjas are cooler than pirates!
