Any of them look cooler than what we have at the moment. I don't think a lot of gamers realise how strange it looks to the common folk when you sit there red-faced twiddling about with a couple of analog sticks.

Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.

Funny thing is that her onscreen avatar is doing exactly what she is doing.

I never said that it wasn't.

Milo, on the other hand, was staged.  The video proves it.  Her hand moves toward water ripples after they form.  Or does Milo read minds?

....it wasn't the water ripples part that was staged. That is actually the only part of the demo you could do with ANY motion controllor, even the Wii. That part was EASY. If you think water moved before she "touched it" it was because it was tracking her upper arms and/or facial expressions.

The part of the video where you interact with Milo, now that was staged. Not the part where the motion control kinda works. That part is real.

I don't need your console war.

You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

No Zen. She rushed to put her hand where the water was rippling on the top left part of the screen after it happened. She rushed to do it and it was pretty obvious.

I'm not saying that it doesn't work but it was a videotape during that section. I agree with you that it can be done easily, but for some reason it wasn't. Watch the video if you don't believe me.

I dunno, sounds like conspiracy theory to me. None of the closed door guys(who ripped on Milo) said anything about the motion parts being staged.

I might be willing to give Sony's controller a tie with the wiimote, if it weren't for the pink balls...

Well, let's see. Natal has you holding nothing, and judging by the presentation with the woman smacking balls, it doesn't have perfect reception. So I'd say the average person will look fairly ridiculous using it. The PS3 motion control won't look any more goofy than the Wiimote I imagine, but Sony needs to improve the design.

I guess when you are as bias as you, it blinds you so much that you failed to see that it did in fact have near perfect reception.

How the hell am I biased? I have a flippin' link to my gamertag in my signature. By the way, "near perfect" isn't perfect, now is it? Maybe if you weren't so biased, you wouldn't be blind and you'd be able to see that.

A link to "your" gamertag.

No good argument, I see. Well I guess it's easier to make accusations and say stupid things than actually have to come up with one. Since you're obviously just flamebaiting, I'm going to ignore your petty attitude. Please grow up, and have a good night.

C'mon.  You know me well enough to know that I don't do conspiracy theories.

Watch the video.  One part is definitely off if you look for it.

Wii Motion Plus seems good enough really.

I mean it can detect even subtle slices and every angle you move the Wiimote at (look at the sky diving intro from WS Resort). It can detect sword swings 1:1 which was always the holy grail of motion controllers right? The sword fighting in Wii Sports Resort is dead on.

And it ships to stores tomorrow. You'll be able to play it now.

I was initially blown away by Natal, but now the whole Milo thing does seem like a lot of smoke and mirrors, and honestly, the other applications MS showed for it ... I really don't want to play a racing game using my arms in mid-air with no tactile feedback or buttons.
