Exclusive expansion packs should count, downloaded or not. Braid, for isntance, was one of the best games last year, as was Castlecrashers. How could we make a list for PC without counting a new Wow expansion. Especially when the GTA stuff is 9 hours long with stand along gameplay and story. You have to count those.

Also, Shadow Complex looks to be better than most games on all three lists, and it's download only, 10 hours of gameplay.

actually, the 2 GTA episodes are being released together on retail disc in the fall, so you don't need to own GTA 4 to play them.  I think its being called Tales from Liberty City or something of that nature.  

I think alot of people are underestimating what it can do.  2 episodes with 15 hours of single player campaigns each (30 + hrs total) along with an expanded multiplayer modes, and they're gonna be selling for $40 (instead of the usual $60 per game).  I think it could probably outsell all of the ps3  exclusives this holiday.

If you are talking about the interview I think you are he didn't say it was coming out in 2010. He said that they are "aiming" for 2009 but could be 2010 or something like that.

The lists are missing a whole lotta games.

As far as your statements that we only would play a few of these games anyway, that is absolutely correct. However, the question isn't "what will you have most fun with" because then we are just polling to see which console these people own, and NOT what their actual opinions are about the release lists.

Which release list is better, is the question. Not which is your "favorite," because the results will always be whichever console they like more, and it would be completely pointless reading anything in this thread.

Even if that was the case, that would be "1" whole game, not two. We do not count the individual parts of the OrangeBox, neither should this be true for GTA.

And from what I have gathered they are still technically DLC. The disc is no different then the voucher code that gamestop sold for GTAIV LATD. You could pick it up at retail but you downloaded it once you got home. I think its a tad decietful as it still is not a real game. The disc will have you downloading the expansion from the disc just as Forza 2's second disc will be used. These exspansions don't include the GTA world/city/assets, just characters and scenes. This is why the disc is needed from GTAIV.

How long it is doesn't change the fact that it is an expansion.
