Forums - Nintendo - Should I get a Wii or DS?

@routsounmanman

If I get the Wii then I'm driving right past a $130 DS and saving for a Wii.

Around the Network

That is the hardest thing ever asked... ever. I'd go Wii. Zelda rocked my world!! And I like Mario Party too.

I am Daemon. I am the Word.

I'd go Wii. I have both...but honestly, there's only a few games coming out soon for DS that I plan on getting.

The DS has a great library...it's a tough choice...but I feel the Wii's life is just beginning this holiday, with Mario and Smash Bros coming out, as well as Mario Kart and many more games earlier next year. Plenty of 3rd party games to choose from as well.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

It all really depends.

If you don't currently have a lot of money in your pocket, the DS is the best choice being cheap with some great games. BUT, if you are really into SMG, SSBB, MP3, Twilight Princess, etc. go for the Wii.

My final choice would be the DS, but it is really up to you to choose.

Currently Playing: Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros for Wii U

Predictions:

Super Mario Galaxy will pass Super Mario 64 in total sales CORRECT!

Thanks for the replies guys.

I know its a hard choice, its either I get a Wii or its a DS. I really want the Wii cause its satisfying my needs as a secondary console unlike the PS3 which is expensive. Even if it goes to $400. Its still expensive comparing to the Wii and it doesn't have the titles I want.

FFXIII I can counter that with Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon
MGS4 I can counter that with Tom Clancy Splinter Cell: Conviction

I have my counters with those games, it makes me not want a PS3 after that. But the Wii has those games where its there and easy to pick-up and play and quick sessions and gives me little breaks, here and there from my 360. The DS on the other hand has the library of games and its a unique device that I would love to purchase, but I rarely game on the go, only if I'm bored at home or on a trip. I have to be really bored to play my handheld. So DS looks to be last minute and the Wii looks like a purchase.

I'm still thinking @_@

Any more responses or opinions?
