@ Tuoyo RCT is Zack and he has some really good time trials.

Interesting.  Don't think I've ever raced against him.  Would love to though.  The only people on my level that still play the VGChartz GPs are Brawl and Glory Glory.  Need more tough players.  Cord played yesterday for first time in a while but he seems to have lost his touch.

What about me. :'(

Lol I knew you would say that.  I think you need a bit more work and a bit more consistency in your performances.  You are more Cougerman and Dan's level for now.

Well you just took my day and laid a steamer on it..

Thanks..

Lol sorry.   Didn't mean to.  But that should inspire you to get better.  There was a time when I didn't play for about three months and when I started playing again I was terrible.  I was unable to even come like top 7 in any of the GPs I played.  I was thinking about about giving up on the game.  Instead I made up my mind to get 9999 VR and 3 stars.  The result of that effort is that I am now even better than I was before that time I stopped playing.

Anyway didn't you just start playing recently?  You are quite good considering the rest of us have been playing the game for over a year.

You must have improved then tuoyo... last time I played you Cougarman was better than you.... Dan I remember being an on/off kind of player similar to Zelda (koopatrooper) who seem to do quite poorly 2/3rds of the time, but the other third end up with an overwhelming win.

Dan always seems to do extremely well in the second and third GP.  Then again, I always seem to do poorly in the second and third myself.

You should be in more games TWRoO.

Cougarman was better than me?  Lol I must have been very very bad that period when you dropped out of the GPs.  Our versus score is something like 300 for me 50 for him.

Dan is still exactly as you just described him.  I have never seen anyone so inconsistent.  He is usually like last in 2 out of 3GPs and then 1st or 2nd in the 3rd.

I got the game in August 08.  I've been playing consistently since then.  It was about a month ago I got the 3 star rank and I'm hoping to get 9999 VR in VS sometime soon.

I think one of my biggest problems is a combination of bad luck(I played a game vs. RCTJunkie sometime ago and he even said it was one-sided item wise) and getting out of a routine(When a banana, fake item box, koopa shell, etc is in my way I react fairly poorly because I drift and wheelie often)

;__;

I pretty much stopped playing Mario Kart because of hackers. Every time I played online there'd be one match where I played with a hacker. I just turn off the Wii and start doing something else whenever that happens. Now I don't see the point in playing online.

Same thing with Call of Duty.

Sounds like the same problem I have but mine is worse.  For some reason I gravitate into items.  I see them early enough but for some reason no matter how wide the track is I just seem to drive into them the harder I try to avoid them.

One thing I have never quite understood is how come when I am doing a wheelie and someone bumps into me my bike comes to an almost complete stop but when I bump someone doing a wheelie they continue on as though nothing happened.

Weight? Speed? Angle?

I'm not 100% myself.

Because whenever you see people doing a wheelie, they're probably not actually doing a wheelie. This is because most Nintendo online games are not using a main server, but peer 2 peer play. Since that's a very unreliable way of hosting, all online gameplay is actually calculated by the Wii's processor instead of it acually displaying what's happening real-time.

In other words, whenever you see somebody do a wheelie, it's your Wii calculating that that person is probably doing a wheelie at the time. This may not be true, or you bump him and the Wii needs to calculate you bumped him, therefore you won't see it happen right away.

Summary: Wii's online is really, really crappy. It's worse than the Doom on PC times back in the 90's.

EDIT: This is why New Super Mario Bros. Wii probably really can't go online, simply because the Wii's processor is not powerful enough to handle it.

Well it depends on the bike.... but generally all bikes decelerate a bit if hit while in a wheelie.

If you are talking about online though... it could just be a tad of lag, I can generally see when someone is about to hit me so I cancel the wheelie before it happens, it could be that they cancel but it doesn't register on your machine.
