Forums - Gaming - Most milked franchises

I will say Final Fantasy. Too much of re-release and spin-offs. But main, XIII, still nowhere.

Next, I will say Resident Evil. Same as FF. Continous release and re-release for all platforms available, and really lot of spin-offs.

Pokemon...seriously.

There seem like there's a Pokemon game for at least 2 systems every year.

Naruto is getting up there now with the 8 different fight games and the two same but diff storyline games for the ps3 and 360.

Branch Franchises are their own franchise.. Like Pokemon Ranger is a franchise, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is another and Pokemon: _____ version is its own franchise.

Then u can say the same for Mario and FF....hell Halo is having it's own branch franchise with Reach and ODST....

Madden, Fifa, and every yearly sports game are certainly the worst offenders, but Guitar Hero is getting there fast and Mario is the all time king.

I actually wouldn't put Mario on this list, since every entry to the franchise adds something new and fresh that is always good fun.

"Milking a franchise" in my opinion, would be releasing the same game every year just to cash in on the IP.

Notable contenders

1. All EA sports titles
2. Guitar Hero / Rock Band

All of Sony's franchises

The only franchise sony has ever milked has been Gran turismo..

I was kidding.. I'd just like to see everyone's response.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Seriously, you guys should see this list.

Puts Mega Man and Marios and FFs to shame.
