Rare's Nintendo 64 first-person shooter Perfect Dark is coming to Xbox Live Arcade later this year. Winter, says Microsoft. This is what it looks like.

In a word, Perfect Dark looks sharper, thanks to its high-definition upgrades and "sporting a silkier framerate than ever before." In hard numbers, that translates to 1080p resolution and 60 frames-per-second. The official Xbox.com product page also touts "All the original game features are included plus new Xbox LIVE ones."

I don't care if the visuals are exactly as they were back in the day. Perfect Dark with updated FPS controls is what I want.

Anything else is just wonderful extras. Updated visuals, Xbox Live features, etc.

The N64 classic Perfect Dark was far superior than the disappointing prequel sequel Perfect Dark Zero on the XBox 360.
The N64's memory expansion was needed in order to be able to play this game on N64. Without it around 80% of the game was inaccessible on the N64. Memory expansion was only needed for a couple of other N64 games Donkey Kong 64 came bundled with it and Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Does Nintendo get royalties by having its classic old Rare titles ported onto the XBox Live?

Blast Corps would be a nice addition as well, among others. Where is Goldeneye? I am sure Nintendo could arrange a deal with Microsoft to allow an updated version of Goldeneye to become available on XBox Live. Microsoft has plenty of money to make it happen.

Goldeneye was all but ready for release , but for some reason that I can't remember Nintendo still held some legal control over the title and shut it down. 

Maybe they can pull a Goldeneye Sigma or something, but I haven't heard anything about it for a long time so I think it's probably dead.

I thought they were going to release goldeneye, but a version with all bond refrences cut out? Like a different game, except with alot of the game intact. You know?

I only ever heard rumors about that, but nothing from Rare. Maybe they'll still put it out and PD is just to tease us for now.

Well I mean they already had footage of it running, so I would think that would be the only way.
But I imagine Nintendo suing them for something for it.
