Forums - Nintendo - N-Zone reviews The Conduit

Really? The "most graphically advanced Wii game ever" gets a mid-80s score on graphics? How's that work out?

They said graphically advanced, not best design. They didn't claim to beat something like the last metroid on design.

Graphics and art design are two very different things.

It isnt amazing so far, 7.6 and 8.6 =S

I wouldnt waste money considering there are a ton of games coming out in the end of the year.. (well atleast thats my case, which is why I didnt get infamous despite some AAA reviews)

Actually, it's a 76, 80, 83, 86, and 87. I think only the very optimistic were expecting 90+ scores for this game.

Most of these reviews do suggest that The Conduit is the best FPS on the platform. With no other FPS games on the horizon, if you want to shoot people on your Wii, you want The Conduit.

Awesome. Multiplayer is what I'm looking forward to.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

Hi,

I just got the newest issue of the german magazine N-Zone. In it the reviewed The Conduit.

The scores are:

Singleplayer: 82%

Multiplayer: 90%

Subscores are: Controls 92%, Graphics 86% and Sound 81%

All in all the review is quite possitve. What will interest the most is that they are very happy with the multiplayermode in which they never suffered any lag.

I wonder which other Wii games got above 86% in the graphics department. It would be good to know, and use for comparison. The art design probably did affect the score slightly, but the game is technically impressive. The fact that the controls got 92% and the multiplayer got a 90% makes this game all that imagined it was- fun to play.

Hmm...86?

Nice!

To be honest, I was quite excited to play this game at E3, but I walked away fairly underwhelmed by the few minutes of single-player I got to play. As has been heavily mentioned, the controls and graphics are great, but the level design (at least for the one that I played, which was likely the starting level) was very linear. I was also kind of hoping for intelligent enemies that made me make good use of the quality controls (like aiming just right to pop a headshot while he was behind cover).

I didn't hate it, and I was at the beginning of the game and didn't get to test multiplayer, though, and the game definitely still holds promise! I'll post some impressions later.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Controls 92%
Multiplayer 90%

Sounds fantastic to me, these two are the most important thing IMO. I haven't cared for Singleplayer since Perfect Dark.

So The Conduit is good game, not a great game. Not bad for me. And if the controls are so good and there are many enemies to supply the poor IA then it will also be fun... Nice!
