Forums - Nintendo - So what is Factor 5 doing?

I was expecting Factor 5 to show his project for Wii this E3 but it didn't happen. I read some sources saying that they wanted to launch the game this year 2009, but now it is 100% improbable.

They closed their offices in America, but there is still Factor 5 in Germany.

Has the project been cancelled?

I am not very sure we will see some day Pilotwings or Kid Icarus on Wii.....

PD: I don't want to talk again about IGN related to Kid Icarus topic...

they did have a wii game slated for this year and anothe rone in the works. i too was expecting pilotwings are E3 but i dunno whats happened to it. having to move all workers, assets ect from america to germany has probably caused considerable delay

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Factor 5 is still open, just not their American studio.

Possibilities in my mind are PilotWings and Turrican. I'm holding out for an October announcement otherwise I'm not sure what to think..

Isnt the US Studio the main studio anyways? This company is pretty much done don't expect anything.

Around the Network

No America was a subsidary of sorts, Germany is the main office.

^

yes the US studio was the main studio and the one that actually made games. the Germany studio was a (much needed) back up studio. when the US one went bust all assest, tademarks and most of the employees have been transerfered to germany. their website claims they are still making games for both new and old friends. plus an employee's resume had a wiigame scheduled for 2009

Hmm, I'll believe they are working on a Wii game when I see it.

They divided by 0?

Unless it's announced at an October conference or something it probably won't happen.
