Same can be said bout XBL Gold membership

LBP DLC is WORTH the money for some people

I'm sure XBL Gold membership is also justified to some people

@jgarret: It's probably the hardest game I've ever played. However, the difficulty isn't a turn off like it is in many games. It's not frustratingly hard. The game conveys a sense of excitement when wondering what's around the next corner, a sense of wonder when you first behold the next seemingly insurmountable boss, and has a sense of epicness throughout the game, from the wide vistas you see from a castle precipice, to the dragons nesting on a nearby cliff.

Overall the game is rewarding and rather enjoyable in its difficulty.

In basic concept it could be seen as that (and I used to view it as that), but the level break down, nuance of combat, boss battles, and online structure make it a very different game.

It's probably the most unique RPG to come along in a long time. The Soul Network is far different from any online system I've seen in a game yet.

Yeah, I'm buying this. And then I'm replaying the ICO levels with my girlfriend!  (Kind of awkward to have that extra cardboard yorda around, though.)

@jgarret: I'd highly recommend checking out the reviews in the VGChartz Demon's Souls thread, particularly the ones from Eurogamer, RPGFan, and GamerLimit.

LBP sold more than L4D but still people thought the announcement of L4D 2 was a megaton.  perhaps that word is subjective to a persons tastes rather than just sales numbers.
