Molyneux said that some of Lionhead studios people wanted 17year old girl but they've gone with 10year old boy cause they didn't want to make a porn game or something similar so(and he talked bout porn quite a lot)

IMO, Milo is just a big fat haux.. I have no belief in that MS demo what so ever! How can Milo understand what I say if I for example talk in broken english, or in a different accent? How can he understand my mother tounge? How can he know what my voice or face is like when I am sad? or angry? How can he respond differently to all the thousands of questions I have? Watching that Milo crap was just painful. I think all that was scripted, no doubt about it. Cool technology, but for now, still just the usual MS haux. And the name Natal sucks ass. seriously...
IMO EyePet beats Milo to the ground. It scans your drawings and you can control things with a controller not your hands and shitty hand gestures. You can make it look different and it reacts to the surroundings you create and your body and stuff. Looks pretty neat. MS tech is cool, but not for games, I want buttons to press...

I wonder.. How the heck can Milo "understand" me? Real people does not even understand each other, so I am very puzzled about how that Milo dude can. Milo can understand what developers make him understand, nothing more, nothing less... I have no faith in that stuff, especially no faith in what Molyneux talks about.. As we can see with his last games, his words cannot be trusted.

All of those things are doable. They are not easily done, but they are doable. And I doubt all of them will be a part of the game when it launches.

EyePet is just an EyeToy from ps2 nothing more. and Milo WAS real - just read Molyneux interview with eurogamer(if i remember correctly) when one of journalists demoed Milo game.

You question everything Milo, yet you don't ask yourself how eyepet knows you've drawn a plane.
I'm axctually really impressed by Eyepet - Its not causing the amount of interest though that it deserve - Milo and Eyepet are both revolutionary but I still think Milo just appeals to pedo's

From Eurogamer Hands-on:
"What about those who would rather stay sat on the sofa? The technology works just as well when sitting down, according to Molyneux: "You just move your torso and your head to move around. It can be a very relaxed experience."
What if I have to look behind me? Or to the left and right? Do I have to take my eyes of the screen? And besides, I don't want to move when I play games..
"Now, he says, we're going to train Milo to recognise me. I'm told to smile and frown to start the process off, and I try to make things easy for Milo by exaggerating my expressions like a gurning champion at a rave. "That's too much," says Molyneux. "You don't smile and frown like that in real life, do you?" He clearly hasn't seen my Facebook page."
How the HECK does Milo (or this Molyneux dude) know how I frown in real life? This is exactly what I am talking about...
"Wearing black, I see. It suits you." - How does Milo know what color of clothes suits a person? For all he know I can be mocked in a purple shirt at school and he will still reply it suits me...
@drpunk. that is true =) I guess that is true! I will also wait to see how that is, but I have bigger faith in that because that can be matched against certain types of objects. On the other hand, there are over 6 billion (?) people in the world, everyone are unique with different personalities and different traits.. I just doubt Milo have the social skills to be able to know us all.. Sorry for not being so optimistic.... YET...

out of interest, have you ever tried MS's voice to text recognition software? or even text to speech?
If they have trouble with that, how much trouble will this cause?
Don't get me wrong, Natal is amazing, as is Milo, but the difficulties in getting it to work properly are huge.
then there's slang and dialects to work into it. very frigging difficult.
A sketch of a plane is peanuts for computers to recognise in comparrison
But if MS says they can do it, I'm not going to argue. that's one talented bunch of people.

Well, moving is so much said, I think Wii Sports will have you moving much more than Milo will. And why shouldn't you be able to look behind you or whatever? Natal is perfectly capable of sensing that, and it since Milo can already follow you with his eyes (which he did in the video), I doubt he wouldn't be able to react accordingly for when you turn your head.

I'm not for one moment saying that Milo works as well as has been presented to us.
I'm just saying that people are questioning how Microsoft can distinguish from the infinite possibilities of what people can say or how they say them yet Sonyseem to have somehow worked out how to recognise what has been drawn from the infinite possibilities of what can be drawn. If you see what I mean.
I just think that somewhere in there you have to tell it what you are drawing, from a select list of object. There are only a finite number of forms of transport for example.
I cannot lie and say the prospect of an eyepet flying round on a giant penis doesn't interest me
