PR stunt...Church people don't have a sense of humour

Any publicity is good publicity, whether it's fake or real. Seems rather odd, whether fake or real, when the game's release isn't even imminent. The whole controversy will be forgotten about in a week.

I agree. But to call it controversy is a bit much. There's hardly any controversy here. A bunch of people are like "Ahh...Dante's Inferno...I'm bored, let's go home"

People who go to church don't have a sense of humour?

Not people that go church...Church People. You know...the non-existant stereotype that you see in shows and movies that always have straight faces...they couldn't summon up a joke to save the Messiah.

Church groups, decieved simple people.

It is people like this who give those of us who are religious a really bad name.

EA does a game based, in part, on a famous European 13th century poem, and they go all to pieces.

Honestly, some people condemn anyone in the name of religion. They need to re-read the gospels and realize who Jesus hung out with. It was not exactly the creme-de-la-creme of society. Tax collectors were not IRS agents (bad enough) but rather imperial extortionists. The blind, lame, and lepers that Jesus cured were all thought to be blamed for their own illness by their sin or the sin of their families. Prostitution has been the same for century. And fishermen and shepherds were not exactly upper class professions.

My point is that I believe Jesus (God) finds this group's wrapping of the gospel message far more troubling than the upcoming EA game.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

It's fake.

The 'protests' by hired amateur actors are just a PR stunt that belongs to the marketing campaign for Dante's Inferno.
