It is people like this who give those of us who are religious a really bad name.

EA does a game based, in part, on a famous European 13th century poem, and they go all to pieces.

Honestly, some people condemn anyone in the name of religion. They need to re-read the gospels and realize who Jesus hung out with. It was not exactly the creme-de-la-creme of society. Tax collectors were not IRS agents (bad enough) but rather imperial extortionists. The blind, lame, and lepers that Jesus cured were all thought to be blamed for their own illness by their sin or the sin of their families. Prostitution has been the same for century. And fishermen and shepherds were not exactly upper class professions.

My point is that I believe Jesus (God) finds this group's wrapping of the gospel message far more troubling than the upcoming EA game.

(For the record, I was born a Roman Catholic and practiced that faith until after I was married. I then joined my wife's church -- she's United Methodist. If you have any religious interest or queries, please feel free to PM me.)

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
