Left 4 Dead has become Valve's new cash cow. As long as there are people buying 5 levels and four characters for fifty bucks they will keep throwing this kind of shit around. Be ready for L4D3 at november 2011, still using the Source engine and with a few tweaks over L4D2.

see I wouldn't be po'ed at all about this if L4D2 was bundled with HL2:Ep3. I believe that was Valve's original plan. Sadly I don't think the game will be finished by the end of the year. If they released this for 20, or even 30, dollars I think a lot of people would forgive Valve for releasing this game only a year after L4D.

lol how can people get so pissed about a 1 minute trailer anyways. It's not like valve won't change anything from now till release, as if they didn't totally change the characters before release of the first game.

Because this is what Valve is famous for doing. It seems the L4D devs forget Valve's history of supporting game years past release. Half-Life and Counter Strike 1.6 still gets updated with bug fixes and content worked for new hardware.
