Here's another thing to thing about and get psyched for... Punch Out was NOT announced at E3 last year and yet came out before E3 this year.

Let's hope that we get another 1 or even 2 big surprises like this from Nintendo over the next year too.

This is true.  Nintendo has taken the approach of not showing games off unless they are far along in development recently.

Wii Sports Resort is an exception, but I think that they were really trying to nail the controls for Wii Motion Plus first.  I have no problems with that.

Watching Nintendo's briefing this year, I found it to be almost a polar opposite of last year.

In 2008, Cammie came out with noise and Shaun White. This year, Cammie came out and played it business serious.

In a little more than an hour, Nintendo covered major releases -- almost all first-party -- for its console and handheld. It did not doddle on multiplatform, third-party games or showcasing technologies without a price or release date. Unfortunately, it is those things that some people like to see. But it is not necessarily what sells.

As much as everyone complains about the 2008 Nintendo conference, virtually everything mentioned there sold quite well.

As much as people might complain about what was there -- everything mentioned will sell well.

Furthermore, post conference we learned that Zelda Wii is tentative for 2010 and Monado is a first-party action RPG that is coming. And we do not have (as of yet that I know of) an updated release schedule -- first or third party.

Nintendo plays a different game than Sony and Microsoft. And it makes money. For those who do not like the games it brings out, there are currently two other consoles that can be played. Personally, I am shooting for 200 Wii games by the end of the year.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Huh, for me they announced more than what I have thought they would. It was really surprising. Anything could happen now on what Nintendo announces.

This is why we get less than we should.  Guys like you settle.

I want the world and I want it now.
