Forums - Sony - Sony's announcement - Predictions

Purely speculation here ladies and gents.

I have absolutely no source at all. This is my personal prediction.

Sony has bought out the rights to CRASH BANDICOOT from Universal.

Think about it for a few seconds. Crash is virtually uselss to Universal, but would be extremely useful to Sony. Why wouldn't Universal sell it to Sony if the price were right? They certainly are not making much (if any) money off the Crash Bandicoot IP. Crash games sold insanely well on the PlayStation under Naughty Dogs development, but died off once Universal took over the franchise.

What else could it possibly be? Every other big title has already been announced. MGS, FF, RE(just came out, and the sequel will be multi anyways), God of War, Gran Turismo, Uncharted 2, Killzone, Tekken, etc...

Crash is the only thing I can think of that would warrant a "megaton" at this point. The only other possible announcement that would be "big" would be Gears of War 3 (or another Gears-like title) from Epic Games coming to Ps3, but that is highly unlikely.

Gears 3?
GTA5 revealed?
Elder Scrolls 5?
Twisted Metal revealed?
Slim PS3?
Diablo 3/ StarCraft2/ Sims3?
Final Fantasy 7:Remake?

How about Nothing? All your doing is gonna make you disappointed when it turns out to be one of the games they announced at yesterdays conference

MediEvil 3 would be pretty big

GTA 5? Doubt it. Theyre doing DLC and "Agent" right now.

Elder Scrolls? What? That's not a big game and doesnt deserve it's own seperate announcement.

Twisted Metal? The developer HAS GONE ON RECORD to say it's not ready for e3!!

Slim Ps3? No... just no.

Diablo/Sims/Starcraft? PC ports... come on... it's not gonna be one of those. Most Sony fans dont even want those.

FF7 remake? Theyre currently doing FFXIII, FFVersusXIII, and FFXIV.... I Highly doubt another FF will be announced when they have so much on their plate right now at SquareEnix.

Buying the crash ip for universal would be just stupid.

The ip has been raped to the point of no return and no one can save it , its like sonic on consoles.

And I dont think it will be big because it wasnt at their conference and not being at the conference means its not worthy to be in the conference.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Don't say I didn't warn you........

Although If I'm wrong I will laugh :P

Crash has indeed been raped.

But if Sony bought it back...They could redeem the franchise. Everyone knows Naughty Dog was Crash Bandicoots true developer and things went downhill after they stopped making the games.

Dont lie... If ND got the game back... you know you'd play it.

@infamous8.

GTFO. Elder Scrolls is an amazing game.
Diablo/Sims and StarCraft will sell a ton.
Twisted Metal would be a big surprise... and there is at least a bit of video for it.
Slim PS3... although obviously not a game, would be huge.

The other 2 = giggles.

heh... man, it's just speculation. Not like I'm posting fake sources or anything.

Maybe wishful thinking... but it's also logic.

If Person A has something that Person B wants... and that something is useless to Person A, but useful to Person B...

They come together to agree on terms to sell it.
