Now that we have seen the Nintendo conference and saw that Team Ninja are doing a Metroid game, the question remains what the hell are Retro doing now? SUrely in the last two years they have been working on something other then porting MP1 and MP2 with Wii Controls?
Whatever they're doing, I bet it's awesome. For Nintendo's next console, maybe?
They said they were working on other things outside of the Metroid franchise nearly 2 years ago.. Don't act surprised.. Also Reggie said they were hard at work and we'll be blown away with what they have in store, not to mention we've heard rumours of them developing more than one title which would meant it'd take longer for the games to be made and also they WERE working on a Zelda project which has since been canned which would also have taken dev time.
Perhaps that Zelda was the other title they were working on? Either way, E3 2010 will hold the answer for sure!

Doubtful. The Wii has a minimum of two years left, and probably more. There's at least one more Retro game for the Wii.

How do we know they were working on a Zelda before? Nintendo never said that. as far as I know it was only a rumor…

No we do not know that, sorry if I wasn't clear, that WERE was supposed to emphasize the fact that the rumour was that they would no longer be working on it if it was true. Also the rumour came from surfer girl originally who has been proven in recent months to have been very accurate.
I would love to know. Retro has done enough for me to earn automatic purchase rights until such time as they produce a game that is less than stellar.
well yer I was thinking would we have to wait till 2010 to find out or would we get some after E3 suprises from Nintendo about Retro.
and thanks for that puffy, I didn't know they were actually wanting to do stuff other then Metroid.
