Forums - Microsoft - "For 360/PC" is an exclusive for 360 (Reasons)

For all those who prefers gaming on PC, it definitely helps to know that a gaming is not exclusive to 360, i.e. on PC as well. Personally I got the 360 only for JRPGs, everything else, I'm getting them on PC. I'll probably get a PS3 when it's 299 later this year, but to me PC/360 != 360 exclusive.

agree im tired of the arguments the 360 dosnt have any exclusives casue theyre coming out on PC. ITS console exclusitivity and neither of the other consoles are getting it.

As much I love my 360,the fact that Mass Effect 2 is coming to Pc means that it`s not exclusive, because people with Pc`s don`t need to buy a 360.

Plus,not only they don`t need to buy a 360,but also don`t need to buy the game,they can easly pirate it,while we,the 360 owners,must buy it or,best case,rent the game.

I don`t understand why MS supports Pc piracy, developers are losing console sales because of the Pc and the 360 is losing many costumers.

no matter, it is still a lose lose situation for the xbox 360 one main reason is the ongoing piracy but hey what can we do about it.

...

Because there are no people who mod their consoles and play pirated games.

That's ludicrous.  Equating all of PC gaming to piracy?  Geez... You sound like the RIAA.

I don't have a 360, why? Because I can get the majority of the 'exclusives' I want on PC. MS don't get money from sales of PC games in the way they do with 360 games. If I buy a PC version over the 360 version MS don't get any of my money for the game or the console. Even MS have noted that there is competition from the PC and have reduced the number of 360 1st party games comming out for PC (e.g. Halo Wars, Gears 2).

So yes, if a game is out on 360 & PC, it shouldn't really be considered an exclusive.

Now that FF14 is also "Exclusive" this arguement will probably stop anyway

I disagree, I think that for 360/PC or PS3/PC is exclusive for PC

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

If there is no Pc piracy, then why don`t we display Pc sales charts? Why don`t the developers say they make more on Pc than consoles? Why don`t you look at how many people use torrent sites?

If its on the PC and its written using the Direct3d APIs/Libraries then there is a degree of exclusivity. Seriously though, if people continue to make an issue of this then they will probably condemn the PC to receiving fewer PC/360 games as they will use their money to ensure no PC release and no PS3 release at the same time. Thats been their response so far with regards to this issue.

Tease.

False dichotomy.
The choices are not "100% PC piracy" and "No PC piracy."

There are plenty of people who buy PC games.  There are also plenty of people who pirate console games.

Oh, and if you want the ability to be able to play games online (something that's slightly important to some people), you usually can't do that with a pirated game.
