Final fantasy XIV is a huge exclusive game for PS3 and this will have a huge boost on PS3 console sales.
One million PS3s will be sold during launch week of FFXIV - mark my words.

When has a massive multiplayer online game EVER given a console a HUGE boost in sales?

I am now reaching the conclusion that it is IMPOSSIBLE for companies to come up with Megatons that are large then those in the mind of fanboys with overactive imaginations.  Sheesh, no Megaton equaled mine where Microsoft buys up Midway.  Ok, IF Natal delivers on what it hinted at, at a reasonable price point, I will say that is close.

The price point of PSP 3000 at $149.99 and PSP Go (which most people said was going to cost $300.00) at $249.99 is much more reasonable than DS Lite at $129.99 and DSi at $169.99. DS Lite should cost no more than $99.99 with DSi out and DSi should cost only $149.99.

Huh? The new PSP version costs $100 more? Why is that? or what is PSP Go exactly... new CPU and graphics?

It's probably cheaper to make than the older psp's: smaller screen, no umd drive, possibly smaller battery (with a smaller screen they can chop the battery without losing performance).

Basically a huge cash-in.

So in other words..it's a new product. e.e

It's not a new product, it's a repackaging of an old product.

Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't realize that reducing the size, taking out the UMD drive and adding bluetooth capabilities actually was repackaging an old product. e.e I'm not saying it's a great deal or that I'm happy about the price point. I'm just tired of seeing trollish posts from people who wouldn't have bought the product in the first place.

Then by your definition the ps2 they are selling this year isn't the same product as last year since they shrinked the innards too.

Whatever rows your boat dude.

And the DSi is a new product and the newer 360's are different from the older ones. Same deal with the PS3. The PS2 change wasn't as high profile to many people so they won't feel the need to upgrade but these "minor changes" actually make people want the new product...except for the PS3 of course. That actually deterred a lot of people.

Shrug, whatever.

You are right I'm not gonna buy one, but it has nothing to do with the label. I'm just not into portable gaming =) I have a DS because of Phoenix Wright and I hate to play it on a small screen T_T.

How can you increase the price of your console by $100 so late in a generation and get people excited? This device sounds like a rip off.

The price point of the PSP Go. That was a megaton.

.....and who better to tell you to pay $250 on a five year old product than kaz Hirai? That guy is such a dick. :)

Five year old product? What the hell are you talking about?
