Forums - Gaming - What was the *megaton* announcement for Sony?

Not trolling, but I think I clearly missed it.

I honestly don't think there was a megaton announcement this year. Almost anyone that isn't a Sony fanboy saw MGS for the 360 coming along.

A lot of the announcements were HUGE, but they weren't megaton quality.

The Last Guardian

Final Fantasy XIV,vThe last guardian from Team Ico and the new Metal Gear coming to PSP. Those weren't Megatons to me, but they sure as hell were a big surprise.

Actually, didn't geoff keighley say there would be a Sony megaton at E3 on his twitter?

The only big shocker out of E3 was FF14, but given the intial reaction to FF11, I don't think he'd classify that as a megaton.

The two biggest PSP games (imo) we've known about, GTP and MGS: Peace Walker.

We knew about the PSP-Go.

Everything got leaked before hand for Sony =/ They should practice keeping secrets for next E3.

There wasnt one

"I envy you. You North Americans are very lucky. You are fighting the most important fight of all- you live in the heart of the beast."

Ernesto "Che" Guevara.

Sony has some quality release info...................................however, the lack of a new MGS for the PS3, No show for PS3 Slim, No Price-Cut on the PS3 (yet),.....oh and $250 PsP Go may have killed some of the hype.....just a bit. Some titles hoped for/expected out this year (God of War III, GT5, ect.) are now showing more than likely 2010 release dates.

As a PS3 owner though I am very excited for the titles that are near/future release. As is the norm, the fanboys/girls predict things (mentioned above) that are usually squashed or proven false, thus ending the so-called MEGA$%&* they hope for.

I think PSP Go and exclusive games on it are the main title in Sony E3 conference this year.

The PSP has been overshadowing the PS3 the last two E3's. Far more games and attention is being given to the PSP than the PS3 by Sony. I don't like it, but what can you say?
