I hate to burst your bubble, but just because it is on the PS3 doesn't change the fact that you will have to sign in to PSN and then into the Square system they setup for the game.

Also, to whoever posted that MMO on 360 = fail:

MMO on any console = fail.  FFXI barely survived this long and that was after it spanned PS2, Xbox 360, PC, and now supposedly coming to PS3 as well.  All to barely scrounge up about 500,000 daily active players and 2 million active accounts.

I guess it is a good thing I took the time to finally build a new PC a few months ago so I can play FFXIII on 360 and then the best version of FFXIV on PC!  Woot!

I wouldn't call FFXI's life span survival. Its now just a niche MMO versus what it was 4 years ago when it had like 2+ million users. 500k users is still not a small number though in terms of MMOs. Still the largest MMO has over 200 million active accounts which destroys even WOW in terms of userbase.

Good we both actually agree that PC is the best platform and only platform this game should be played on but still the PS3 does support wireless keyboards and mice so the difference won't be massive.

I just hope the rumors of FFXIII coming to PC comes to light.

But the one with 200 millions accounts is probably some F2P MMO, and those types of MMOs get a much lower revenue compared to the average subscriptions MMO.

I say there's a pretty huge chance FF13 will come to PC when Nvidia itself announced the game for PC on their website! They had to remove it though soon after.

They do, but they aren't more then what they are bringing in. You make it sound like 500,000 people is a little amount.
