For me the best surprise was Mod Nation Racers. That looks so awesome. The track creater looked so easy to use. Plus the actual racing looked great. Will definetly be getting that.

Other highlights were the awesome GoWIII and Uncharted 2 gameplay footage. Just stunning. Also FFXIV and The Last Guardian trailers were really sweet.

It was fun to watch but I couldn't help but think that the Wiimote was capable of doing everything it did.

In order, from best to worst.

-The Last Guardian trailer: I watched the conference specially for that, and that's what I got
-God of War III gameplay: Simply astounding
-Gran Turismo PSP: 800 cars, 35 tracks, 60 variations AND october 1st? WIN
-Uncharted 2 gameplay: Looked really good
-Gran Turismo 5: Only a trailer, but what a trailer it was
-MGS Peace Walker: Kojima+New MGS, what more needs to be said?
-ModNation Racers: Color me impressed for the track creator

....
-Agent: They showed nothing
-FFXIV: I don't want an MMO
....
-Motion Control: Easily the worst part of the conference, not only it looked bad, the guys demoing made it look even worse

Uncharted 2 - (bit chaotic, and the stream was not so good unfortunately)
MGS Peace Walker - (all 4 snakes!! solid, liquid, solidus, naked)
The Last Guardian - (I started staring at the screen)
Gran Turismo 5 - (I was so afraid they wouldn't show it at all)
God of War III - (brutal)

All 5 equally awsome

Well yes , the a wiimote with motion+ can do everything it does(wiimote wins because of having more buttons), but the fact that it adds pointer functionality with that precision was impressive.

But with the wiimote you can't see yourself with a virtual light saber in your hand

Sony had a pretty good showing. IMO, they did not "win" E3 but they did have the most impressive demos of game being played (yes, and that includes MS showing MW2). Uncharted 2 + GOW III was amazing. AC 2 was OK, but MAG was SURPRISINGLY good. At first I thought that the game was never going to come out, then I thought that it wasn't going to work as well as they thought and that it would look bad, and I was surprised. I mean, it looked pretty bad graphically (well because of the live stream I was watching made it look bad), I was intrigued, and I never wanted a part of it at first.
