I honestly think it would be best for Heavy Rain if it didn't released in 2009, too much of a chance it could get lost in the shuffle. Especially if Sony is able to get GT5 out for a Holiday release.

and WKC is confirmed early 2010 now. (and it was technically a 2008 release in Japan)

Why would they fucking do that? This would really aggrevate me because Level 5 said they had been working on the english dubbing since before the Japanese version released. They were "almost" done by April. Why the hell would it take it 6 MORE months to come out?

I just watched WKC's E3 trailer which says "Coming Soon". 2010 is not soon by any manner of definition....

Why are you taking Tretton's words as the total truth, anyway? He lied about FFXIV being a PS3 exclusive so who's to know if he didn't stretch the truth about release dates.

You know it always annoyed me that Sony acts so lax about announcing game release dates. You should release the date of your biggest games months in advance so to stir anticipation.

This is bullshit! I truly would rather its immediate release and all that bonus crap patched in later(for free). Its virtually the same thing but the game gets here faster(which had already been a very long wait for us in the US).

I agree WKC should really come out by end of 09. I'm even thinking of not bothering to get it now that it had a release window of 'early 2010'...this game will be over 1 year old by that stage.

Jack Tretton did not LIE about FFXIV. It IS exclusive, console exclusive to PS3. 360 as of this very moment does not have a confirmed release for the game. So everything Jack Tretton said was true. I don't find it likely that it goes to 360 until late into the games life span(or at least a year later) on PS3. I am not saying it will never come to 360, just that it isn't on 360....at this very moment.

Second, Heavy Rain is a Sony owned IP. They get the final word on their 1st party game's release dates. Who better to ask then him?

In fact, same goes for Rock*'s Agent...maybe I'm pessimistic but I don't believe in 3rd party exclusives that are published by someone other than Sony.
