Why is everyone saying that PS3 had a ton of games? Is it because they had montages of games that everyone already new about? I'm guessing people would say nintendo had more coming out if they listed everything being developed by third parties for the wii and ds in the next year.

The only things that were new to me were ffxiv, mod nation, and the psp RE and MGS. -

8.5 great psp support(MGS and RE; psp go!), FF14 exclusive, Rockstar exclusive and they showed games that we knew were coming out but still great games are coming.
I wouldve like more ps3 games though or a pricecut.

8.5/10

Good:

Uncharted 2 was just incredible
New FF XIII footage was incredible
New Rockstar North game will be incredible
Jak and Daxter footage was awesome
GoW III looked great
MAG looked good, though I will want to watch some proper footage to look at the graphics
GT PSP looked great
The Go is growing on me
ModNation racer looked promising
Tretton is a legend
Assassin's Creed 2 looked incredible
That MGS trailer was incredible, it was really funny as well, Kojima is a legend

Bad:

Price of PSP Go a little high
No Agent footage
No Ratchet, but plenty of other footage has already been shown
Spring 2010....
No Starhawk
No KH3/VXIII/BBS

Huh... nothing that interests me.

I don't pay subscription MMORPGs.

Of course i'm not one for the "Big Ticket" games as it is... I'm more for the games that are rough around the edges presentation wise but full of fun.

looks awful to me! Ms is clearly the only company spending its way out of the reseahion!

Ff is not impresive! Its a dream as of yet! Much more intrested in the real final fantasy experence not wowc rip

Pros

  • Uncharted 2 footage -- amazing Good to see I was not the only one with my jaw on the floor
  • PSP Go -- even if it was already leaked, they did a great job at covering it
  • Create and Share Kart Game -- looked like they took the ideas from LBP and Maio Kart and made something pretty cool.  Definately on my radar
  • Metal Gear Stuff -- I don't care too much about this but they showed off a good chunk of this while showing the PSP Go
  • FFIV -- Good for them, hope they stay true to FFXI

Cons

  • Boring beginning with numbers. Yeah, well Sony do like their numbers
  • Project Trico trailer -- Great trailer, but we've seen it before We had seen like the first half, but it looked vastly improved
  • Home commercial -- saw it last month It was the best we are going to get from home
  • Clip montages -- borign clips of games already out or clips we've seen before with the added bonus of not telling us what games they're showing off.  Woohoo! They didn't have time, but if you watched carefully, they announced Fat Princess for the PSP, and gave us some LBP footage and Jak and Daxter footage
  • Motion controller -- poorly showed off tech demo, plus it's releasing next year with no current games to show or final controller and the Wii is releasing the same thing this month (or is next month?) We will see on this one, but at the moment I fear that this will not be fully implimented
  • The Agent -- Give me more than a name I assume they are going to let R* have some very annoying countdown
  • MAG -- just wasn't that interesting.  It was mainly of a guy standing there giving orders.  I get what they were trying to do but wasn't that interesting to watch. Yeah, I didn't find it that exciting, but it certainly looks like it has good potential
  • Didn't show much new Well they announce FF XIV, a new R* NORTH franchise, a new kart IP, new motion controller, new Uncharted 2 footage. Now yes we all pretty much new about MGS, PSP Go, Gran Turismo PSP, but they all looked quite good. They actually had far more new stuff than I expected, such as first gameplay of AC 2, God of War III, but I did really find FF XIV shocking, though I won't buy it
  • Assassin's Creed II -- To go with the above point, I want to see new gameplay of new games. When have you seen AC 2 gameplay before?
  • FFXIII -- Nothing really new here, just a lot of CG with some in game stuff at the end. Actually there was quite a bit of new stuff there, much more than we saw yesterday, and interesting to see that they really have got on with the voice translation

Don't think I'm missing anything.

Sorry, when I saw new I mean new games.  :-p

I dont' want them to ignore announced games, but I want to see much more of new games rather than ones I've been hearing about for months and months.

Sony: 8.1/10

I'll just copy paste the relevant parts from this post.

Sony: Mag is totally amazing, will have to see if they can make it accessible but yeah its a definative moment for FPS online on consoles. Uncharted 2 was also fantastic. I was ready to give it to them right there. Final Fantasy XIV, hmm will have to wait n see im not too impressed because MMO = PC for me until proved otherwise. ICO game was pretty arty, not my scene but its an amazing thing anyway and have to give it respect. I liked their Wiitoo type device, but the demonstration felt really hashed together at the last minute. It makes me think that the 2010 release date for spring would be a soft launch if at all. Gran Turismo truely is a mega hit, its pretty big but seeing it likely slip from 2009 is as much a disapointment for me as it is an awesome experience seeing the WRC and Nascar type gameplay modes. Lastly that car racing game was pretty off the hook too. God of War was really cool too, but the unexpected hit for me was that car game! Man... Awesome stuff.

On the face of it I will probably give it to Sony marginally. Many of the 360 games aren't different enough, better enough from an equivelent multi-plat. MAG is something im wary of but the concept is totally fantastic and its definately one of the show winners for me and the Kart racing game was so slick and came out of nowhere. Joyride has nothing on it. Microsoft has more great titles but Sony has more special titles. For example Forza 3 is matched by not GT5 but NFS: Shift. In all I would give Sony about an 8.1/10 and Microsoft a 7.4/10.

FF11 worked great for the PS2 whenever you got all the extra stuff set up. The cross platform, worldwide servers worked great.
