It does look like some sort of "adult toy" with the little flashing light lol

I understand that totally but Sony could have still made the PS3 parts a LOT LOT LOT better, we already knew about everything they showed, no GT5 this year, no on stage demo of GT5, no heavy rain, no major news on PSN network, no PS3 price cut, no PS3 slim, motion control not even final design, tech demos not that impressive, they very much copied the wii with the motion control, MS went far beyond anything SONY and Nintendo offered in terms of motion, Just underwelmed really, PSP was A+ though, much better than Nintendo DS lineup, |
ya they should have made the ps3 parts better buy they were just so focused on the psp which i gotta say don't really care about

Me too... this media conference was a good laugh/ major deception for me.
I was over-hyped on this very forum, took a PS3 to play KZ2... and now I have to wait almost a year to play GOW3 + no date on GT5.
I read on some serious newspaper that E3 is supposed to announce the vision of the futur for each plateform... if PSP got tons of stuffs (which I'm not interested in...), PS3 is still stucked in the same problems to me...
Besides, IMO this presentation was also symptomatic of the cost-cutting programs that are affecting Sony now :
- lame stage
- too much psp
- 20 minutes of cheap montages
- no VIP
- deliberalty skipping the importnat topics every body was waiting for...
- a prototype of a motion controller concept with visible past recycled technologies
- GOW 3 in (f*cking) March 2010
-... méh stuffs
Again, what Sony delivered is the famous: "We will, We shall..." (Confession of weakness again..pfff).
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
i think sony and microsoft were equal both very good i wish sony had announced a firmware or some new things for psn
You are not the Sony leader anymore, you are un-pure

If im not mistaken mgs risen is multiplatform can anyone confirm this? |
What the hell does that matter, of course it's multiplatform, it's the next game to continue the main storyline, if i't weren't this thread would be rendered obsolete, seeing as Microsoft would have no question won E3. Right now it's up in the air. The big 3 all delivered BIG TIME. Microsoft has the slight edge. But this is only very slight.
MGS franchise meant alot to sony and sony's popularity. Sony losing exclusivity is losing 1 of the reasons why someone should buy a ps3 over a 360. Don't downplay, don't damage control, you don't work for sony. Although I bet u'd give your left nut to be able to.
That being said, I was impressed with sony's press conference, I'd say their lineup is stronger, but there are more games coming in 2010. In 2009, I think both 360 and ps3 are fairly even. In 2010, for now, sony has slight edge. Everything else was either boring or done better elsewhere(motion control). Games were quite good and although i definitely am proud to own a 360 and it is by far my preffered console, this E3 makes me feel sad I don't own a ps3.
I may purchase a ps3 as there are quite a few quality titles I'd miss out on otherwise. Ps3 fanboys and people who don't own a 360 should realy take a look and do the same. I think what this E3 showed is that all three companies are very dedicated to quality gaming and bringing gaming to the next level. Wii had the weakest E3 but it was not at all weak. This E3 has been amazing...but it ain't over yet kiddies!!!

So how did MS step it up? They got a MGS game, that PS3 is getting too? Another halo game? |
OMG!!!! NO SHYT it's on ps3 dude!!! Does no sony fanboy understand the significance of losing exclusivity of such a valuable franchise. It makes the ps3 even more like 360. MGS is no longer unique on the ps3, it is no longer a selling point, a reason to purchase a 360 over a ps3. Now you'd have to find other reason, which of course there are.
MS stepped it up with NATAL. You should check out Johnny lee's blog if you're skeptical about it. They also have alot of quality titles hitting in 09. Not just 2010, which they also have, although I believe for now, sony's 2010 lineup is best by a couple hairs. XBLA is now hands down the best arcade service. Not only are major developers developing games specifically for XBLA (epic, rare) but sega is supporting microsoft more than any other in the arcade department, lots of exclusives. Live is still head and shoulders above the rest with live.fm live tv streaming, instant movie playing at blu ray definition with facebook and twitter along with other gameshows announced like 1 vs. 100.
Well I own both consoles and so far... my wishlist is growing for the 360, not much for the PS3

It's an MMO, not a full blown title like ff13 and square's ventures into mmo's is a bore, not that great, it's not as big an announcement as people think it is. The next MAJOR FF will be multiplat.

The eyetoy motion just wrecked Natal out of proportion. |
LMAOOO, boy, you ARE blind. Blew what out of where?? Dude, Natal is not the pseye's shitty tech. It's no where near as good as Natal. Sony's motion control uses existing technology. Natal has been built from the ground up and is pushing the boundaries of current technology. Like a great company, MS is using the motivation of competition and creating new technologies. Alot of the greatest innovations have been acheived by electronics companies trying to one up each other, in fact this is where new tech usually comes from.
