Forums - Sony - So this new motion controller....thoughts?

Its better then WM+ but worse then what MS has, so who really cares. I see no use for them in normal gaming.

WM+ is already 100% accurate. So it is as accurate as it, or is worse. You can't be more accurate then 100%.

And I don't wanna see what happens if you cover the purple head of the device.

People are looking at this show, and they are comparing Natal to this...pardon my snickers and extreme laughter, but what's amazing is all the comments about how Natal was eye-crap, but somehow, Sony choose to NOT expand on eye-crap, but instead to rip off Nintendo...

I like it.

Something like this is what I figured Microsoft could package along with Natel (some type of wand it can track independently along with the body).

It seems very precise. While Natel opens up a large array of possibilities, this seems more practical. I want this and Natel.

Can't wait to see how both these products develop.

It looks accurate and all, but if you have to buy an camera as well as a wand it'll never really catch on. Definitely my biggest disappointment from that conference.

...

I have got to say, it does not excite me that much, but nice to see it coming in Spring

its a tech demo, meaning the looks of it will most likely change. but if the support is there the controller will thrive. some things looked interesting, archery and sword+shield, so just need to see some support

While there's no mention of the price of the wands, at least the PSeye is $40 :P

I would agree that while interesting, the guys presenting that seemed a bit uneasy.

hahaha the controller imo is so full of fail... the person could barely hit a ball with it during the demo.. also it did nothing that the WM+ can't do

The problem i see with all motion add-ons is just that its an add-on, an after thought.

it looked okay though how do you move there was no analog stick like on the nunchuck

Now playing: Gta4(ps3)I live in hope that one day cross game voice chat will come to the ps3

While I won't say anything negative towards it, it really is just another WM+ that you need the eye toy for it to work. At least M$ tried to do something more than just same ole same ole. Lets see what kind of games we get with it before making any judgements.
