Tommorow will be busy with NPD Data and Japanese hardware/complete software... I think for the week in Japan you can expect: DS - 135,000 Wii - 55,000 PSP - 45,000 PS3 - 23,000 PS2 - 22,000 360 - 3,500 GBA - 750 GC - 250 Wii has to be approaching 70% next-gen market share in Japan...

The Wii series really is the Wii's Brain age/pokemon/ whatever the hell else sells forever and ever and ever. And that's quite a dip for Gundam Musou The Source: I think those PS3 numbers will be a bit higher, just because of some Gundam/tennis game sales.

Wow. Some immediate observations... 1/ MH2 may have some legs, sales only dropped 30-40% from last week. 2/ Gundam Musou - very disapointing (unless its a shipment issue). Needed to sell about 50k. Drop to about 20th next week. 3/ Heroes of Mana? Didn't debut in the top10? I can barely believe this?? (only 15k sales??) 4/ Virtual Tennis 3 (PS3) flopped - big time. 5/ Apart from Wii Sports/Play, having hard time keeping momentum (against the DS, which still looks to be all conquering!). Only 6 titles in the top 30 are Playstation branded - 3 PS2 (all 3 are new releases), 2 PS3.. and only the 1 PSP. 5 Wii, and we know what the rest are... Go Yoshi!

Portables rule the world! Great showings for Yoshi and Monster Hunter Looks like its going to be about Wii 60,000, PS3 back down to 25,000 or so...

I noticed that about MH2. Seems like we are the only ones to have really been... startled by that. Damn, This is gonna pass the first on in sales in another week or two. Amazing sales. Especially for 3rd party on a handheld. (there are only like 4 games on DS that have sold better that are 3rd party)

Well, it DID sell almost 800,000 copies in its first week ;) I think you can consider that "highly anticipated". Plus - once you include the sales of all three (I think there are now 3?) different flavours/releases for MH1, you might be reaching the eventual sales of MH2 (also consider that the first is still selling!). Now... time to bring on the Wii version :)
