Yes, where is the Microsoft Surface?

honestly how can you read that and not realize how truly biased he is?  that read like something I would expect from an incredible Nintendo fanboy.  Would you like me to make a prediction on what he says about the other two conferences?  I'll give you a clue, he'll hate one and think the other was amazing.

Natal technology was done years ago, Sony had it on the market for 2 years now for the PS3. Watch the link and see if you find any similarities, its pretty much the same tech. If MS cant get this on the market for less than $100 USD then forget it, but don't tell me that this will just simply disappear thats bs man!!!!!.

It's funny how directly under this article we see one from Malstrom with the title "Microsoft is responding to Sony, not Nintendo". Well if this technology isn't a response to Nintendo (they even made a remark against the Wii during it) then what was it?  Also in that article he states that he thinks Microsoft's avatars were aimed at Sony's Home rather than the Wii's Miis.  Ok imagine that we didn't already know that Rare was working on the avatars even before the Wii came out (Kotaku), does anyone honestly think they were directed at the hardcore audience on Sony's Home rather than the casual audience on the Wii?

its a challenge to the PlayStation Eye.

So they'll be challenging UMD next?

Well if one is amazing and the other two aren't, then why would he lie, so far MS's wasn't, and we'll have to see about Ninty and Sony in about 10 hours and 40 minutes

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Thinking the conference wasn't all that great is fine, but writing the article as he did and pretty much ripping on every single thing that MS brough forth is just a fanboy forum post.  There is nothing but a little research, good grammar, and fame that differ him from any random Nintendo fanboy on a forum.

@Torillian

Instead of attacking his character why not try to attack the points he was making.

I attack his points all the time.  Go back and read my second post in this thread and tell me where you think Malstrom is right.

What points?  That he hated everything that MS presented?  The only thing he even mentions being decent to look at was CoD2.  I mean for Christ's sake in all the things MS presented that's all he can bring up in good mention.  Then he takes swipes at that Cliffy B guy for how he's dressed.  How is that relevent?

Anything he doesn't have mean things to say about he doesn't mention.  He didn't say crap about the Halo games other than that they were coming and one pleased the audience while the other was less so.  What unprejudiced person would present their thought on the conference in that manner.

I don't have any particular like of MS, and I have no stake in any exclusive they mentioned, but as a reasonable person I have to admit that they had alot of great parts that excited people in their conference.  I was talking to Machina as it went on and he really loved the Splinter Cell presentation and Left4Dead 2 announcement.   No reasonable person could watch that conference and then write what Malstrom did.  If he wrote an article about how the motion control will fail that is fine, but attacking everything that was presented is simply fanboyism.

Didn't they already do that with HD-DVD? UMD was a failure as a movie format like HD-DVD.

And the PS Eye and EyeToys were never really failures so you can't say that this will fail either. Its a niche market like SRPGs.

I believe moderate success will happen like the PS Eye and EyeToy. As long as they receive minor support each year its all good.

And here I thought HD-DVD was a challenge to Blu-Ray.
