Forums - Microsoft - Forza 3 Looks Simply Amazing

Well i'll be watching this. Later in the year i might look into getting either a PS3 or 360 as there are some genres of games where i really do like my graphics to be shiny, this is one of them.

At the very least it's good to see that GT5 is getting some decent competition.

Pullus, the Forza 10 dev said that it was a video that some fans put together using the replay feature of Forza 10. It was at one point gameplay, then the game engine recreates it for the replay. Just as much gameplay as a Halo 3 machinima made using the replay feature.

how is this in game footage?
and why does the cars move like remote controlled toys?. it had the Psychics of a twisted metal game and the crashes of a burnout game, did they move away from the real driving sim?

Did you watch the video, he says heres some gameplay, and also shows how the reply feature works and what you can do...

they say its gameplay but its OBVIOUSLY not.

How is it OBVIOUSLY not?

Please explain..

if only  eyes can talk....

GCI , not gameplay.

Dude... it's ingame, The first video you posted is the "Video Editior Function" of the game, were you as the user can edit and make your own Forze Clips, Still Ingame..

Here is a video on Forza, read the bottom right of the screen "Actual Gameplay" ..

THAT one is gameplay , now look at them both and see the difference?

the first one is CGI the second one is Gameplay, as you can see on the first video the cars have drive as real a RC toy.

I thought it was the best game displayed at the MS E3 conference. Very impressive.

I was only slightly disappointed with the hyperbole marketing speak by the presenter. I get he has to market it but it was pretty obvious who the "competition" was. I would have preferred the removal of this ill allusion. But anyway, it may well end up being the best of this "generation". The point is - a bit early to tell when GT5 is not even out.

I agree he came out somewhat douchy with these comments.

But the guy's gotta be frustrated: his team has been outdoing PD but they can't beat years of marketing. It's gotta hurt - for many years Forza's have had better handling and physics than their main competition yet they read everywhere else how "the other guy" is better just because what they are better at is playing with people's expectations of how a car should handle.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Ok now this is in-game footage (0:30)

I have to disagree, Alan Wake looks so cool. I have 0 hype for that game, have no clue what it is, but I was glue to the screen watching the demo.

Splinter Cell, looks nice but I was never a fan of the previous iterations.

Forza 3 of course is full of wins! Halo 3 like, replay mode that you can upload in HD and edit. Now let see what GT5 have to offer tomorrow.

another delay?

i mean come on if i was sony i would told PD to get to work after seeing Forza 3 gameplay videos. if GT5p was demo of GT5 then we pretty much know almost everything about this game aside from tracks and cars. Prologue couldn't match even Forza 2 in gameplay, physics and mechanics so how can full game match even better game now? either they will show game that will impressive graphically but not much after Forza 2 trailers and with really inferior gameplay or they will delay the game for another 2-3 years when we will see probably another Forza game.

@Waron.

It's pretty well rumoured that a damage model is coming to GT5. In fact it may even be added as an update to Prologue (I am probably wrong there). That is a huge thing for the GT franchise and probably explains why it is likely to be a 2010 game.
