A cut now would help more the market in general than Sony in particular. Sony gets maximum benefit/cost ratio doing it in Autumn. Unless Sony reckons that benefitting resellers and 1st and 3rd party developers gives indirect returns worth the greater cost.
Wouldn't it just hurt the sales of the 360 instead of boosting the industry as a whole?
