MGS 4 came out almost exactly 1 year ago... so unless MGS4 is coming out within the next week or so for 360.....

Uh no?  It takes longer to develop and port this gen I was just saying MGS2 and MGS2:S came out around a year apart, not exactly a year... so you're taking that too literal all to try to make yourself and your argument look better... Nice try though >_>

Kojima is not short on cash...therefore your analogy fails.

Its not really about weather or not kojima has money or not but the uselessness of "loyalty" in the business world.

What the hell is "loyalty" going to do for kojima? Garner the support of forum lurking , prepubescent ps3 fanboys which make up very little of the mgs fanbase when he can garner sales of the rest of the ps2 owners who jumped into the 360?

I'm not saying mgs 4 is heading for the 360 but your reasoning for mgs 4 to remain a ps3 exclusive is so paper-thin its laughable.

Konami are a BUSINESS and they're main aim ALWAYS is to make MONEY.

Konami is a business, but Kojima is an ARTIST.

It doesn't matter that Konami isn't short on cash. "Oh we have enough cash, so we don't need to port it" doesn't work like that, a company's aim is to make as much profit as possible. They're not going to give up free money.

Kojima has a hell of a lot of power within Konami.  He was made VP of the company a year or two after MGS2 hit, and he only stepped down from that position when he created his very own branch of the company, Kojima Productions, a branch that would allow him to focus solely on games.

However, Kojima is still not the President or CEO, and either way the company has shareholders to think about.  I think MGS4 will go multiplat, but I don't think it will be at the hands of Kojima.  I think Kojima will keep doing what he does - making great games for whatever system he may choose, and then Konami may choose to port them after the fact, much like MGS2.  This is why I said what I did in my previous post.

Isn't Kojima in charge of the MGS series for the most part?

 

Why weren't MGS2 and MGS3 released on Gamecube and Xbox alongside the PS2? Why wasn't MGS4 released on 360 alongside the PS3? Konami would have made more money if they did that, am I right?

No I don't think they would of. Hence why they didn't. A port though ... yes they can make money from that, hence the MGS2 port.

You don't think making the MGS series on the Gamecube and Xbox alongside the PS2 would have made Konami more money? Well, there isn't any way we can know for sure, and therefore I don't see a reason why they didn't besides Kojima choosing the MGS series to be at least released exclusively for PS2 first.

Actually, I rarely, if ever, see Sony fans whining about Valve stuff or Mass Effect.
