Well, no one knows what Halo:Reach refers to. Could be a ZuneHD game for all we know.

All right then. So if it is anything it's very far from a Halo 4.

A Zune HD Halo would be terrible. I want MS to release a real handheld some day, instead of trying to make Zune into a gaming platform (<--- huge flop).

The knowledge that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was coming out in 2009 didn't kill interest in World at War now did it?

Yes, most people who frequent gaming websites and forums knew that Modern Warfare 2 was in the works before World at War was released. But it wasn't officially announced until after World at War was released. It was officially revealed I believe at GDC this year. And for more evidence, on December 4th, 2008, Activision were still not confirming it's existence.

Most people who frequent gaming sites would also watch E3 and know that Call of Duty 5 was coming out the year after. So it doesn't matter because people already know Halo 4 is being made.

I think the reason why they would break the bank for this year and next year at the same time is because in 2010 they have to switch their developers to next generation projects.

These lists remind me of the lists Sony fanboys used to make last year.

At E308, we'll see:

-God of War III
-Zipper's ps3 game (the real SOCOM??? Not that Confrontation crap!)
-Team ICO's next game! It has to come out in 2009! It'll have been four years! Olympic Team!
-Sony Cambridge's ps3 game
-Sony Bend's ps3 game (Syphon Filter??)
-Eat Sleep Play's ps3 game (did you hear about Twisted Metal ps3 confirmed in Head On??)

So many games!! Sony will own!

...

And in reality we got two of those, and out of those two, everyone was wrong about one (MAG =/= SOCOM, lol)

What I think we'll actually get from MS:

-Forza 3
-Rare's holiday stuff
-Lionhead's next project, set for 2010.
-Some other 360 exclusive set for 2010+. Could be from Bungie, Bighugegames, or a third party. Who knows.
-MGS4 going multiplat.
-The obvious stuff like more Lips, Scene It, etc.

Hope you're wrong, MM.

One thing I don't hear many people mentioning is DLC for Modern Warfare 2. Is there some reason to think MS wouldn't be snapping that up? (or at least be in a bidding war with Sony over it, which I assume they would win.)

I'm looking forward to Mistwalker's next game (have we heard they're not going to be there?), hoping Rare does something totally new, and hoping Lionhead's new thing looks cool (I'm sure it will.) Most of the focus will probably be on Splinter Cell, Forza, MGS4, and of course ODST.
