Well, rumor has it that Halo:Reach will be announced.  What that is, or if it is true, will be seen tomorrow.

The knowledge that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was coming out in 2009 didn't kill interest in World at War now did it?

Yes, most people who frequent gaming websites and forums knew that Modern Warfare 2 was in the works before World at War was released.  But it wasn't officially announced until after World at War was released.  It was officially revealed I believe at GDC this year.  And for more evidence, on December 4th, 2008, Activision were still not confirming it's existence.

Most people who frequent gaming sites would also watch E3 and know that Call of Duty 5 was coming out the year after. So it doesn't matter because people already know Halo 4 is being made.
