@ Euphoria14: I haven't played the whole game but I didn't notice those frame rate drops, maybe cause I was too busy having fun... The load times either. I've played games with long loading times and I don't get why it's such an issue to gamers. That's just me but I like to relax and take it slow. I think people would need to stop wanting everything to be instant and stop being so stressed.

Oh and Kaim is everything but emotionless. I feel like there's a misunderstanding here or you missed a lot of the cutscenes. I'm not saying this only from the dream sequances. The reading parts are either (in some people's opinions) a flaw or something enjoyable, to me it's the latter. They were very well written and I think I wouldn't have wanted it otherwise.

It is not only me, many people feel that Kaim was quite emotionless in the game up until Kaim's wife dies late in disc 1.

The loading also isn't stressing me out, I've seen much worse, like in Final Fantasy Chronicles when I was playing Chrono Trigger.

I was just showing that the game does in fact have flaws. I still think however that it is a very good JRPG title.

i LOVED this game so much it was my 1st real RPG. such an epic story i spend alot of time getting mostly everything.

graphics and story were amazing!

it has set me up for FF witch i always found slightly too tricky and complex...

AAAMMMAAAZZIINNNGGGG everyone should have this game!

i spent 100+ hours on this game and still wanted more!

LO is a long game?

Well many people then don't understand... From the start, Kaim has dreams that disturb him and make him upset, even if he doesn't know why. He is confused about himself. He doesn't know if his dreams are his past or just dreams and he doesn't want to remember his past (they're painful).. Also, Kaim doesn't show them much around others but that doesn't mean he doesn't feel them.

If that's emotionless, then I dunno what's having emotions. -_-'

50 hours to finish it (40 hours when you install the discs) if you are someone who wants to get everything in the game it can take +100 hours.

Well maybe it could be but I have been playing JRPG titles all my life, it is my top genre and Kaim was just a very boring character for me.

I just have criticism for pretty much every game I have ever played other than a select few which happen to be 10-15+ year old titles.

I am going to leave this topic though because unfortunately it seems that everytime I have a pretty legitimate complaint people just throw it away as if I am completely making it up.

Good day folks.

For the one who asked if LO is long: Yes it is quite long. I unfortunately stopped playing early in disc 4 but I was still somewhere around 45-50 hours.

Thanks, I will try to buy the game this week, I was a little concerned about this game, but it's long, the video reviews are very good and everyone says that this is an excelent game.

Okay I just beat the game! YAY And Yes I agree that the majority of the time Kaim was very emotionless unless it was in a Dream or Flashback. He does however start showing some emotion around Lirum's death and Cooke and Mack. He also has his moments with his wife but other than that he talks in a monotone voice and shows little to no emotions 45/50 hours of the game.

Seth on the other hand was pure genius and her sacrifice had me a little sad as I was a big fan of her.

Overall while the game is not the best JRPG it certainly ranks up there with some of the top brass so my rating would be a 8.5/10.

I also installed the game and while the load times were reduced significantly there were still some awkward battles were it took a good 5 seconds to boot up.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
