It is not only me, many people feel that Kaim was quite emotionless in the game up until Kaim's wife dies late in disc 1. The loading also isn't stressing me out, I've seen much worse, like in Final Fantasy Chronicles when I was playing Chrono Trigger.
I was just showing that the game does in fact have flaws. I still think however that it is a very good JRPG title. |
Okay I just beat the game! YAY And Yes I agree that the majority of the time Kaim was very emotionless unless it was in a Dream or Flashback. He does however start showing some emotion around Lirum's death and Cooke and Mack. He also has his moments with his wife but other than that he talks in a monotone voice and shows little to no emotions 45/50 hours of the game.
Seth on the other hand was pure genius and her sacrifice had me a little sad as I was a big fan of her.
Overall while the game is not the best JRPG it certainly ranks up there with some of the top brass so my rating would be a 8.5/10.
I also installed the game and while the load times were reduced significantly there were still some awkward battles were it took a good 5 seconds to boot up.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
