I am now seeing the Wii in stock fairly regularly now in the Austin, Texas area.  I was in Toys R Us, Target, and Gamestop on Sunday and all three had Wiis in stock, on the shelf.

This isn't a 'omg the wii is doomed!!!111!' thread.  I'm just curious if supply and demand are finally reaching some sort of equilibrium.

Obviously we won't know the full extent of supply/demand until spring next year when the holiday rush is over...

yes... I am situated in the UK but whenever i'm i a game shop at least 1 or 2 people come in and say 'can i have a wii'

I still don't see any.

I'm guessing Sunday mornings are when the shipments come in...and I don't go shopping on Sundays hardly ever, but I'm sure they sell out by the end of the week, because through the week I never see any.

About six months back I saw them a few weeks in a row at different places in the Dallas area but I haven't seen any since then. I actually still have friends in the Austin area that can't find them. >_> -edit- And I'm not trying to imply that you're lieing about seeing them in Austin, I think it's just mainly about getting lucky.

Still none in stock here in Houston if they can't sell them in Austin they should just send them here they always sell out on the first day still even the first few hours still. I hear that you can find them more often around Brenham and College Station but even then out in the more rural areas they are still sold out before the next shipment can arrive.

I have been seeing them in stock in the department stores where I live more often the last few weeks. I've been meaning to check some of the stores near where I work (bigger city then where I live), but haven't yet...

Lot's of online places still have it out of stock (ignoring bundles), but it looks sears has some in stock without having to purchase a bundle.

I would say supply hasn't completely met demand (probably has in some areas of the US), but it's getting close to meeting it...  however demand will increase for the holiday season before it's met...  so it will not meet it until 2008 sometime...

I'm from Boston and haven't seen a Wii since I purchased one..I definately see alot of 360s and PS3s everywhere!

I'm yet to see one in syracuse NY, other then when i bought mine. My brother says he's seen them in cleaveland NY, which is a much smaller area, but he usually only goes up there on sundays.

By miami, ive seen wii's.
