Why wouldn't they? Only on the Wii can you lap an Australian in a racing game and remind him of it forever. That kicks so much ass. |

The Wii will have a decent to Excellent Library, however it doesn't have the best library in its own generation, we may have to wait a couple more years. The problem is from the games I see coming on the HD systems in the next couple years, it's going to be a challenge.

The PS2. Most of the Wii's titles are throwaway third party piles of crap.

Truth! I would care to bet that more time is spent defending the PS2's library than actually playing the PS2 games by members of this forum.
Tease.

I can honestly say that since I got it, I have played more on the PS2 than the Wii. But I think you know this question is about the library based on timeframe, many of us aren't playing the fantastic PS2 games because we already did.
...
I don't think the PS2 had, at the same point in its life, many more really *great* titles than the Wii does now. I think that by the end of Wii's life it'll be about the same, give or take a few.
Remember, I'm talking about truly great games here, not merely okay ones.

Many of the Wii games released now would be some of the higher rated PS2 games. Bring those high rated PS2 games forward and compare them to the standards of today and the score would be very different.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
