Gears is TPS and have shitty online according to huge amount of peoples. And lol at Xbox fans spoiled by shooters, every AAA shooter is multiplat apart from Halo 3. But PS3 got recently another triple AAA shooter exclusively and MAG is also coming this fall. Expect 360 line-up at E3 to be alteraly of multiplats just like last year.

What does this have to do with Killzone 2? Please stop hurting Sony fans.

He is comparing Gears 2 to KZ2 which is wrong on so many ways.

Then be the better man, and don't fall into blind fanboyism. Let them hurt themselves.

op and starcraft. You haven't played it in a clan yet which is basicly half the game, so you have no clue of what you've missed out on. Therefore you cannot make a full judgement of the online system being that the clan system is such a huge integrated part of that.

Clan matches are much more fun then regular matches, oh but I know you don't care about that starcraft, you just wanted to troll. As always.

Yeah (BTW, sorry for not participating at all this week. Got busy with soem stuff and inFamous). Soembody said that the game wasn't as tactical as GG meant it to be, but the clan battles are extremely tactical in my opinion. There were times when we beat more "skilled" players, and when we lost to less "skilled" players, all due to either poor or good plans, tactics, and cooperation.

I haven't played in a clan in GeoW 1 or 2 or Halo 3 either...

At the end of the day I was making judgement based on two things.  The first is single player, in which Gears 1 and 2 are better than Killzone 2 easily, and Halo 3 is around the same.

The second is local gaming co-op, in which Gears 1 is good, Gears 2 is amazing (horde=drool) and Halo 3 is ok.  Killzone 2 has none.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I recommend playing through it.

I posted my opinion about after 2 hours of gametime and received a fair bit of flaming from the PS3 fanboys here, but I think that perhaps I should have finished singleplayer first.

I did in the end and whilst a few of my complaints still stand (awkward auto saving lags and control scheme), it turned out to be a fun game.

No where near living up to the hype of the fanboys, but it was a good FPS that would stand up well in the 360's library.

The control scheme is not particularly intuitive and I don't think (from what I could tell) that you could customise it, just choose from options. So you'll have to deal with that. You will probably get used to the accelerating turning (I did, kinda).

The plot itself isn't too original and the twists are decent, but you don't care about any of the characters by the end of the game, which doesn't help. The atmosphere is incredible though, it'd actually be worth it to stick around just for that.

SO you are saying it has worse multiplayer judging on gametypes it doesn't have instead of comparing the ones it does have with the equals of the other games ?

That's like saying fable 2 sucks cause it's multiplayer is terrible. Because it has none.

And i also disagree with the singleplayer thing. Your points are usually just an attempt to spin something in your favour, but this time you didn't only fail to spin it you managed to horribly void your own point.

Words cannot describe how badly you have just failed.  I didn't mention online at all in my original post.  If you are referring too my agreement with the OP and assuming I was agreeing with his online points, all he said was "the online options were good."

It has a worse single player than either Gears game.  The story is not as good (though the first Gears story isn't great either) and you never care (and often dont remember the names of) about the characters.  In addition to this, Killzone 2 has no local co-op of any kind, something that has become a staple of shooters.  It's funny you should mention Fable 2, as it DOES have local co-op.

It's really quit simple.  Once you get past the very impressive graphics, Killzone 2 has a good, but not great, single player campaign.

^ Hmm, I thought Gears of War 2 was WAYYYYYYYYYYY better than Gears 1.

Anyways congrats on your purchase. Killzone 2 is my favorite FPS of all time! If you want a really hard challange play on the hardest mode, it's flipin insane.
