Forums - Nintendo - *Nintendo will rule E3 2009*

Nintendo has been crushing both Microsoft and Sony with the Wii console. I predict that what Nintendo has planned for E3 will continue their rain as the #1 game company! Wii Play and Wii fit together shot the Wii to #1 with the help of titles such as Mario kart wii Super mario galaxy Super smash bros brawl Mario and sonic at the olympic games and the comes with console game wii sports. With Wii sales starting to go down Nintendo is doing it all again! E3 2009:

Wii sports resort: Wii sports very own sequel takes what the origional had and improves the controls with the new wii motion plus add on.

Wii fit plus: The highly popular game wii fit was featured on many shows including oprah.(everyone seems to listen to her) With zero signs of wii fit starting to slow down it seems as if Nintendo still has plans to continue its fitness game with an announcement at E3.

It seems as if Nintendo will try to get sales up again by replaceing wii play with WSR and replaceing wii fit with its own sequel WFP. They will most likely also remake the origional wii sports to include motion plus control but it won't be a retail game. I think Nintendo will bundle the motion plus add on with every wii with the remake of wii sports. Also Nintendo may have classic Nintendo games to announce at E3 as well:

Mario?

Zelda?

Pikmin?

Metroid?

Starfox?

Pokemon?

Kirby?

Fire emblem?

Kid icarus?

Yoshi?(I heard a yoshi rumor about a wii game called Yoshi wild life)

Do you think Nintendo will continue to crush Microsoft and Sony with E3?

I´ll make up my own mind as to who will "win" E3.

Well much of what Sony and MS are going to do at E3 will be in response to Nintendo, like motion controls, while nintendo will be rolling out the age of Wii Motion +

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

It seems like a lot of your post is based on sales, not quality. Besides, if the only thing Nintendo has to do to "win" E3 is to put out another sequel for one of their beloved series, then it's not much of a contest. I'd rather see something truly new and amazing that a new Mario or Zelda game. Also, not that many people cared about Kid Icarus until Nintendo put Pit in Brawl. I'll be disappointed if Nintendo releases a new game in the series.

It'll be over in a week.

Quit the idle speculation, wait until all three have their press conferences, then talk about it.

Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.

For what reason? Not like there's been a KI game in the past 20 years.

I;m sure Nintendo probably has new stuff (like Sakurai's new game) but this stuff isn't ready to be announced. A new Zelda/Mario is a lot more massive than you think. Plus they always do new stuff in these games anyway.

I know, but I don't care about sales (which seems to be the focus of the thread). Nintendo is the market leader, and they move the most software. That's certain. However, I'd rather see something new and good than another Mario or Zelda. Especially Zelda. As for the last part, that's what I just said.

I'm sure there's probably a lot of stuff we haven't heard about, yet,

Who wins E3 is so subjective that it is rare that there is any kind of concensus on the issue. Let's just hope there are lots of good games on all sides which promotes competition and makes us consumers happy.

They need to do better than just sequels. You can only make so many Mario and Zelda games per generation. They really should come up with some new ideas like Sony, Microsoft, and Third parties do.

I would love to see a brand new idea by myamoto (excuse my spelling on his name). I'm sure he's got plenty.

They've come out with a bunch of new games this gen, like the entire Wii series
