Alright, lemme see if I understand...
You've quoted a guy who isn't talking about the Wii at all. In order to prove a point about how other developers feel about sales of their games on the Wii like, for instance, Suda 51. Despite the fact that, according to what I've heard, Suda 51 was in fact pleased about the sales of NMH. And NMH is getting a sequel. And also despite the fact that you seem to be misconstruing the very thing you've quoted: this isn't a guy lamenting poor sales; it's a guy explaining how aiming for huge sales hasn't been the driving force behind his previous games.
Of course everyone would like a bajillion-seller. But that doesn't mean that some people don't have more modest goals, or can't be satisfied with more moderate success.

If Suda 51 was entirely pleased with the sales of his games on Wii, then I don't think he would be developing a PS3 game right now.

Do you really mean that? It just... doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
If you were in the business of making video games for almost any reason (to express yourself artistically, to make money, whatever), wouldn't you be interested in trying to crack all of the major markets? If nothing else but as an experiment, wouldn't you want to eventually release something on every major console? At least, I imagine that I would.
And besides, being "pleased" with sales, or the word I used--"satisfied"--doesn't mean you stop there. For most people, especially the driven kind, you accomplish and then you look forward to new accomplishments. If NMH was his best-selling game, I'm sure he's interested in topping it with the next one... and then topping the new record with the game after that. I mean, isn't that how it works?
But none of it means that he wasn't happy with how NMH performed. You can be happy with how you did and still want to do better the next time around. Right?
