Forums - Nintendo - What if MGS 5 came to wii?

I'll be extremely disappointed, after seeing how good MGS4 looks on my HD tv, having MGS5 on the wii would be a massive downgrade visually...and that for me will kill the game, I'm a graphics whore and I want my games to look as good as they possibly can on my HD tv.

tbh, at this point, I don't know if I'm fine with playing another MGS since the stories are getting a little ridiculous and the cut scenes corny as hell for my liking, I was a little butt hurt after 4.

I'd end up finally buying a Wii.

@S.TA.G.E

They'd probably just build it off of the MGS3 engine and maybe have it on two disks.

Do you think Kojima likes back tracking? Dude...he wants to be finished with the MGS series so he can move onto other things.

@S.T.A.G.E

I don't think Kojima works on any port. Konami would likely get some other people who are experienced with Wii development to make it.

@Kantor
First: Take chill pill...

Right.. OK. I don't know that much about MGS4 but it's probably not that different in gameplay to MGS3. MGS5 (if it existed) would probably be the same thing.

I bet you could do the whole MGS series using just the MGS1 engine and the games would basically still be intact.

Also, Market Share means more chances to sell.

What if you thought about what you're posting before you do?

No offence.

Yea well everyones forgetting the fact that Nintendo approached Capcom for RE4, right?

Its not unlikely bcoz they have stolen thunder before, so to have MS, so anything is possible.

If it came to the Wii it would have fuck awesome shooting mechanics and wii mote enabled bombs, etc. Potentially a great game with SD resolution.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I think the Wii would explode from lack of power.

If it does come, I will buy it. Otherwise, ignore.
