the new 45nm hardware revision, plus  Manufactor prices just natually drop over time.

@ rckrz6, they introduce a new chip, make the PPU external, and then they can save loads of cooling, saving them even more money, and making it slim in the process

That's some impressive investigative journalism by Kotaku right there. They posted pictures of the two boxes, sat on the fence, and provided pretty much nothing of value. Amazing how they get hits for what is essentially an empty article.
