I've been thinking about it. Sony, didn't they supposedly let Rockstar out of their exclusivity contract so they could put GTA4 on the 360?

Was Sony heavily smoking crack that day? From what I had heard, Sony let them out the contract in exchange for another exclusive game. Sony has to realise that GTA3 etc. was the reason they dominated NA/EU last gen.

We haven't heard a whisper about this exclusive game or GTA5 for quite some time. And there are only 2 games I can think up that supposedly had Sony insiders so giddy: GTA 5 or FF7 ReMake. MGS5 would be huge yes but not a true blue Megaton on that level.

Again this is based on the speculation that they indeed had some sort of binding contract with Rockstar. If they didn't they should have. If they thought that Ico or somthing was the reason PS2 dominated so hardcore in tearms of sales, they were dead wrong.

Nope, Rockstar is still making second DLC and then they will be making retail version of both episodes so... no besides it's too big for Take2 to just release it on one platform, sony wouldn't even have the money for this(MS as well).

No, I doubt Rockstar would ignore the 7+ million that bought GTA4 on the 360.

I think the days of GTA being a PS exclusive are long gone.

Of course I understand it wouldn't make sense financilly, but what if there were a contractual obligation?

I hope not, as I tried GTA4 and didn't really like it. Still, that would qualify as a "megaton", though i doubt that's it.

The gamer in me says "oh please god no, not this failure of an attempt at an enjoyable game"

The Sony fan in me hopes that it is... GTA is one of the few titles that double as both a system seller and a casual, well known game... a key to advancing in western markets, no doubt.
